Core Finisher with Dave

On today's workout menu, Dave is throwing us a core finisher that is designed to be tagged onto the end of your regular workout or run. And, because he's feeling in a good mood, he also thought he would chuck in some nice hip stretches to get feeling all loose. Lovely stuff! There's method to his kindness though... did you know that by performing some simple hip release before a core work out, it can help prevent your hip flexors from trying to dominate the core movements? Well, now you do! So, by doing as the man says it will allow maximal recruitment of the core muscles and therefore maximum results. Yesss!

Have a go at the following exercises after your next training session-

Hip Stretches (hold for 30-45 seconds)
- Kneeling hip flexor stretch
- Seated hip stretch

Core workout (3 rounds of 20 seconds per exercise)
- Burpee
- Half pike twist
- See saw
- Sit-up twist
- Plank
