Protein Pancakes With Gina
She doesn't want to brag about it, but Gina claims she can make a pretty decent protein pancake! So we have put her to the test and she is here today to show us exactly how she makes them, and we can see if they really are that good after all!
Watch out for the key bit of advice regarding how to make sure you get the most amount of chocolate in your pancakes!
Calories and Macros per serving (2 chocolate chip pancakes):
Calories - 340
Fat - 14.2g
Carbohydrate - 23g
Protein - 29.3g
Remember- you can reduce the calories and sugars by leaving out the chocolate chips or replacing with berries.
Ingredients (Makes 6 pancakes):
- 75g Whey Protein
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1 Tablespoon of Peanut Butter
- 1 Banana (ripe/over-ripe)
- 50ml (Max) Semi-Skimmed Milk
- 50g Chocolate Chips (optional)
Method:
1 - Mash the banana in a jug or bowl.
2 - Add the eggs, peanut butter then protein powder.
3 - Add the chocolate chips/berries if using.
4 - Add a little milk at a time until you get the right consistency. You don’t want the mixture to be too runny.
5 - Cook in a non stick pan on a medium heat for 30-60 seconds each side. Be careful as they dry out or burn really easily.
6 - Eat!
