At the heart of our youth programme lies our unwavering passion for nurturing the physical, social, and mental development of young children. We believe that by fostering a love for physical activity and providing a positive, supportive environment, we can equip children with the knowledge and tools they need to lead active, healthy lives.

Who We Are. What We Do.

Our youth programme is a multi-faceted movement mastery programme that is designed to teach youth populations correct movement patterns and knowledge within areas such as strength training and cardiovascular training. With the overall ambition to educate people on how to incorporate physical exercise within their lifestyle working with both non-disabled and disabled individuals in and out of school.

Our philosophy is for our students and coaches to provide their perfect effort in everything that they commit to. This implies that we do not expect perfection, but we strive to achieve it and if you as a person are happy with your performance then we as coaches and you as a person can ask nothing more of yourself.

ADVENTURERS - Coming Soon!

AGES: 8-9
YEAR GROUP: 4

Let’s go "Adventurers"! This is the beginning of our captivating and lively gym programme crafted specifically for 8-9 year olds embarking on the first stage of our progressive fitness journey. The Adventurers program is designed to spark curiosity and inspire young children to explore the world of movement, strength training, and games in a fun and supportive gym environment.

EXPLORERS

Ages: 9-11
Year Groups: 5 and 6

Introducing "Explorers" – a fun and engaging gym program designed specifically for 9-11 year olds who are just beginning their journey into the exciting world of movement and strength training! This unique program aims to inspire young children to develop a lifelong love for physical activity while promoting a healthy lifestyle.

pIONEERS

aGES: 11-13
Year Groups: 7 and 8

Welcome to "Pioneers" – an innovative and dynamic gym program designed specifically for 11-13 year olds who are ready to advance to stage 2 of our 3-stage programme. Building on the foundations established in the initial Explorers stage, Pioneers continues to develop young athletes' skills in movement, strength training, and games within a supportive gym environment, while focusing on more challenging progressions and techniques.

cONQUERORS

It’s time to become a "Conqueror"! This programme is the final stage of our “Strong Kids” programme - a cutting-edge and empowering gym program tailored specifically for 13-15 year olds who are progressing to stage 3 of our 3-stage program. As the children reach the pinnacle of their youth fitness journey, Conquerors focuses on refining and mastering the skills acquired in earlier stages, while challenging participants with advanced movements, strength training, and games in a gym environment that will leave them with the skills to continue living a healthy and active life as adults.

With their unwavering commitment to fostering confidence, teamwork, and a love for physical activity, our coaches are the driving force behind the success of the youth program. Get to know our talented team and rest assured that your child is in the best hands as they embark on their exciting journey in the world of movement and strength training.

  • Lead Coach

    Matt is the lead coach and co-creator of U7 Youth. He is a strength and conditioning coach, who has worked with both disability and non-disability athletes from grassroots to elite international level. He holds both a BSc and MSc in strength and conditioning and is a current PhD student at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

    Matt aims to make sessions fun and educational for all involved with inclusivity at the heart of what he does.

    Matt is combining both research and practical experience to create a large initiative to help get children active in and beyond the Exeter area.

  • Company Director

    Mat is a former physical education teacher and director of U7Gym. He also played professional rugby for several years. Mat has been aiming to create a youth project centred around fitness for a number of years and is extremely passionate about promoting the U7 Youth Programme to as many people as possible.
